Hi Everyone! It’s Michele, the wife. Thanks for your responses to Scott’s last update. A number of people were very funny in their comments and hair suggestions. We love that!

We wanted to let you know about a couple of things. First, many of you have been wondering . . . . “When can I call you???” We want you to know that we too are REALLY looking forward to speaking with you in person. We’re grateful that you held back since we never could have imagined how much time we would be spending on the phone every day. Even though we are still on the phone a lot every day, we want to open up the lines to all of you who have been longing to give us a call. The only thing we ask is that you would continue to get the bulk of your update on Scott’s progress from scooterscoop. It can be hard to repeat the details multiple times every day.

Next, I have some not-so-serious but disappointing news. As many of you know, Scott and I have been waiting to see our daughter Josephine get her 2-second appearance on the TV show “ER”. They’ve been delaying the episode for many weeks due to other programming and reruns. Well, last night we think was the night. . . and . . it appears they cut her scene, accept for a very fuzzy shot of her in the distance. So, we’re going to Hollywood to protest! Please join our cause.

Lastly, many of you have offered to help us out and we have been sending you over to our dear friend Nicolle who was coordinating for us. She has been a great help to us but now we can take your phone calls directly. It’s helpful if you are specific about what area you can help in and when. We’re very grateful for your help as Scott is undergoing daily radiation and chemotherapy for the next 7 weeks. This will continue to be very busy time for us and physically demanding as well. Some of our needs are for help around the house, watching Josephine, running errands and meals. In addition, I twisted my foot last night (simply walking) and it’s bit swollen and painful today. Thank you so much for all the love and support we are receiving from you.
